Scavenger Farms is a farm based in Shelton, WA built and sustained on upcycled, recovered and restored materials  

The talent

Cage Free, calcium rich, locally sourced, happy hens.

Our hens live a happy life playing in their open pen, dining on scraps from some of the best local restaurants, and resting in their three story coup, complete with private laying quarters. 

About the Farm

Located in Shelton, WA. 

Farmer Craig utilizes natural resources, and reclaimed wood to run his farm. Craig works with local restaurants to provide compost for feed, recycled plastic bottles for his worm tea, and reclaimed wood for his sheds. This farm relies on restored and upcycled materials.

WORM TEA

Worm tea, is a concentrated mix of microbes and nutrients that help enrich soil and improve the health of your garden and plants, vegetables and flowers. Scavenger Farms has employed over 5000 worms to bring you the best worm tea contentrate for your garden. 

MEET THE TEAM

Founder / Farmer

Farmer Craig

Craig Stamps is a former Highschool teacher and empty nester after raising seven children. Since moving from California, Craig now calls Shelton Washington his home, where he spends his days, taking care of his chickens, fertiziling his garden, cutting wood for winter, and feeding his worm farm for his specialty worm tea concoctions

Community Engagement

Heshi

Heshi has an extensive culinery background, working in a variety of restaurants throughout the country. Heshi specializes in working with local, organic, vegan dishes. He loves showing his guests that you can have incredible dishes without needing meat. At Scavenger Farms, Heshi works with Craig to build relationships with local restaurants, and Co-ops as well as working on the farm in helping design a permaculture farm. 

MISSION STATEMENT

At Scavenger Farms, our goal is implement a permaculture farm, sustained with upcycled materials and renewable practices that raise happy and healthy animals, and planet-friendly infrastructure. We want to continue to collaborate with other local businesses as we a grow a locally sustained business in the Olympia and Shelton Regions.
